Huff Post reports that the Brazilian writer and editor for Oddee, Graciela Murano, says that “[Brazilians] definitely have a thing with butts.” According to Murano the word “bumbum” is usually used in Brazil when people are talking about someone’s behind.

The ‘Miss BumBum Brasil’ is basically a contest to find out who has the best looking butt in the whole nation of Brazil. According to Huff Post the search for the cutest behind combs through Brazil’s states to find 27 competitors. The voting is then done online to select 15 finalists. The 15 best-butt picks then will travel to São Paulo, Brazil, to participate in the ‘Miss Bum Bum Brazil’ grand finale which is held in November.

What’s the grand prize? a whopping $2000!! According to New York Post Daily, each year more than 500 hopefuls enter the contest to show off their rear end.

Who is going to be the judge of those butts? Huff Post says this year’s Miss BumBum Brasil judge is none other than the grand booty of them all, Pamela Anderson.
